Have you noticed yourself pulling back from people you care about?

Putting off even the smallest tasks?

Realising that self-care has slipped so far down the list it’s barely there anymore — and your body is starting to send quiet signals that something isn’t right?
If so, you’re not alone. And you’re not failing.
You may be experiencing burnout.

Burnout is often the result of chronic, unmanaged stress, and for many women it develops gradually — so gradually that we don’t always recognise it straight away.

Six common signs of burnout I see in women

Burnout doesn’t look the same for everyone. You don’t need to experience all of these for burnout to be present — sometimes even one or two is enough to pause and listen.

You might notice:

•Persistent fatigue or brain fog
Feeling mentally tired, unfocused, or like simple decisions take more effort than they should.

•Procrastination and avoidance
Putting off tasks — even small ones — not because you’re lazy, but because you’re depleted.

•Neglecting self-care
Skipping meals, movement, rest, or the things that usually help you feel grounded and well.

•Unexplained physical symptoms
Headaches, stomach issues, tension, back pain, or other niggles that don’t have a clear cause.

•Emotional disconnection or numbness
Feeling flat, detached, or less emotionally available — to others and sometimes to yourself.
•A loss of joy in everyday life
Things that once brought pleasure or satisfaction now feel muted or like “too much effort”.

If you recognise yourself here, please know this: burnout is not a personal failure. It’s a signal — a wise message from your body and mind asking for care, change, and compassion.

Why burnout so often repeats

I often see women push through until they reach a breaking point. They step back, take leave, or try to restore themselves with short-term self-care — only to return to the same pace and expectations once they feel a little better.

Without addressing the deeper patterns, burnout can quietly return.

A gentler way forward

Preventing burnout isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing things differently.

It begins with:
•Shifting away from a constant “push through” mindset
•Protecting your time and energy with clearer boundaries
•Creating space for rest, movement, and reflection
•Allowing support instead of carrying everything alone

This is where real, sustainable change happens.

You don’t have to navigate this on your own

For women who want to slow down, reconnect with what truly matters, and create meaningful change with clarity and confidence, my Wellbeing & Support Mastermind offers a supportive space to do this together — gently, intentionally, and without pressure to be perfect.

It’s an invitation to redefine success.
To choose balance, purpose, and enjoyment — not just endurance.
And to remember: you are already enough.
