Over the past months in our Mastermind, we’ve explored the four dimensions of well-being — physical, mental/emotional, social, and spiritual. This month, we turned our attention to Taha Wairua — spiritual well-being — a deeply personal and often overlooked part of our whole self.
Spiritual well-being is about more than religion or ritual. It’s the part of us that seeks meaning, purpose, and connection — to ourselves, to others, to nature, or to something greater. It’s the quiet voice inside that asks “What do I truly believe in?” “What gives my life meaning?”
It might show up in your daily walk, moments of stillness, your journal, your yoga mat, or your acts of kindness. It’s expressed through your values, your integrity, and how you show up in the world.
Like our bodies, our spirits need care. When nurtured, we gain resilience — the kind that helps us face life’s toughest moments with grace and strength.
In our group, we explored the Seven Spiritual Needs — belonging, meaning, hope, sacredness, morality, beauty, and acceptance — and how meeting these can deepen our sense of peace and purpose. We also shared small but powerful ways we cultivate spiritual wellness in our daily lives.
• Connect – with people, nature, or a greater purpose.
• Be Active – movement as meditation or expression.
• Keep Learning – about yourself, your beliefs, your journey.
• Take Notice – be present; savour the sacred in the simple.
• Give – kindness, time, attention. Giving grows the spirit.
If you’re wondering where to begin, consider asking yourself:
Where do I find beauty? What gives me a sense of belonging? Do I make time to pause and reflect?
Even the simplest practices — like spending a few quiet minutes alone, colouring a mandala, or writing about what matters to you — can be deeply nourishing for your spirit.
Spiritual well-being doesn’t have a rule book. It’s about tuning into who you truly are, what you value, and allowing those truths to guide your choices. Whether you find that through solitude, relationships, creativity, prayer, or walking through the seasons — your path is yours to explore.
This month, I invite you to take one small action to reconnect with your spiritual self. Let it be simple. Let it be yours.
PS: If you’re curious about joining a circle of like-minded women who are walking this path together, our next Mastermind intake is open. Let’s talk about whether it’s the right fit for you.
