Mid-year is the perfect moment to pause and take stock. It’s a natural checkpoint — a time to reflect on how far you’ve come, reset where needed, and reconnect with what matters most.
In my coaching conversations, this time of year often brings questions like:
“Have I made the progress I hoped for?”
“Am I still heading in the direction I truly want to go?”
When we think about what helps us feel happier, more fulfilled, or more focused, goal setting often comes up. And for good reason — research shows that having clear goals increases our chances of making meaningful progress in life.
But not all goals are created equal.
✨ A Fresh Way to Set Goals — From the Inside Out
Most of us have been taught to set SMART goals:
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-framed.
And while those are useful, they don’t always capture what we really feel called to.
That’s why I love to add something more soulful — something that brings goals to life in a way that feels authentic and energising.
Here’s a simple exercise you can try:
1. Choose a goal — one that truly matters to you.
2. Close your eyes and imagine yourself having already achieved it.
What does your life look like? How do you feel? Picture it in detail.
3. Now, write down three adjectives that capture those feelings.
Words like calm, accomplished, inspired, free, focused, radiant — whatever captures your dream-come-true.
These three words become your compass.
Notice where they already exist in your life.
By focusing on the qualities you want more of, you start living your way into them — right now, not just “someday.”
❤️ Goals That Come From the HEART
When your goals align with your values, your energy shifts. Instead of pushing yourself, you feel pulled toward something that lights you up.
I often encourage women to create goals that are not just SMART, but also from the HEART:
• Harmonious – In tune with your values, vision and truth
• Engaging – Exciting and meaningful to you
• Aspirational – Inspiring you to grow into your potential
• Refreshing – Uplifting, not exhausting
• Transformative – Creating real, lasting change in how you live and lead your life
🗺️ From Goal to Growth: You Still Need a MAP
Even with inspiring adjectives and heartfelt intentions, we still need a plan.
That’s where your MAP comes in — My Action Plan.
A MAP turns a dreamy destination into doable steps. It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress with purpose. One small, aligned action at a time.
If you’re feeling called to check in on your goals, redesign your vision board, or create a MAP that moves you forward with more clarity and calm — I’d love to support you.
Let’s talk. Book a session or send me a message — and let’s create the second half of your year to feel like it truly belongs to you.
You don’t have to do it alone — and it’s never too late to choose the direction that feels right.
